Breakthrough – Inspired: Read Your Story in Order
2026-02-26

When we read the Megillah on Purim, both at night and during the day, there is a halacha (Jewish law) that you are not allowed to read it out of order. In other words, you must read the story exactly as it was written. You can’t skip to the end or jump backward into the past.
This halacha teaches us something powerful. Life can only be lived in order. Often, we are so anxious to see how it all turns out or we get stuck rehashing what already happened. But just like the Megillah, our lives make sense when we experience them step by step.
So this Purim, let’s take the lesson to heart. Stay present in your story as it unfolds. May we all have the clarity to appreciate each moment and may it bring us joy. A freilichen Purim!
