A fire in the Gerrer Rebbe's Synagogue

In the time of the Gerrer Rebbe, the Sfas Emes, there was a fire in his synagogue. Upon discovering that the fire was caused by a cigarette, he saw a tremendous lesson.

If a small cigarette could cause such a great fire, then imagine what kind of ignition could be started from a small act.

Take on something small. Start. Our job is to just get started, and then take the next step, and then the next.

It's unbelievable what can grow from a small seed.
